How we used a Microsite Contest + Email + Social Media to get over 1500 new Email Subscribers

The contest received almost 8500 entries in 20 days. (that’s over 13% of the town’s eligible population)

Let’s get right to the point.

This Simple, Enter for a Chance to Win Contest, received ~1000 entries from one single email on one day alone

The Strategy

We kept it simple. The contest ran on a microsite and offered customers a chance to Enter for a chance to Win a prize that resonated with all ages. (who doesn’t like Free Groceries!) Entry forms contained an optional “sign up for our newsletter” field.

We used boosted posts on social media to announce the contest launch and promoted it with a One Time Email to the customer’s database.
