Cheryl has over 35 years of diverse experience in public relations, advertising and marketing, and provides a mix of creativity and business sense that has always set circus apart from its competition. Since founding circus in 2004, her leadership, marketing insights and innovative thinking have underpinned every initiative, and continue to be integral to the growth and success of circus and the clients it serves.
Fun fact: Cheryl is addicted to renovating unloved buildings in her spare time (including circus headquarters!)
Chief Marketing Officer
Wendy is an experienced thought leader in both B2B and B2C marketing communications who fosters collaborative team efforts to deliver strategic excellence – on time and on budget. A great problem solver with a true entrepreneurial spirit, Wendy is known for insightful marketing solutions ahead of their time. She’s developed and hosted innovative consumer experiences and communication targeted to the GTA’s most influential consumers, media and notables. With a career in Marketing that spans over 20 years, Wendy loves a new challenge and makes lemonade when life hands her lemons.
Fun fact: Wendy loves music and was classically trained on piano and violin. She was even once a DJ on CJAM-FM in Windsor!
VP Client Services & Operations
With over 10 years of experience as a Marketing Director before joining the circus troupe – including Conestoga Mall, Erin Mills Town Centre and Burlington Mall – Liz ensures her Account Services team executes each project and program perfectly, while building and maintaining strong client relationships.
Fun fact: Liz has had a pen pal in Germany for over 25 years (and they still keep in touch regularly!)
VP Digital Services
As a constantly evolving medium, the digital realm requires focus and passion to stay at the leading edge – and Angie’s got just that. Her primary role is to assess, plan and implement digital media strategies that maximize budget and brand extension, and with a hunger for technology and keen analytical mind, Angie consistently provides our clients with clear direction for everything digital.
Fun fact: Angie texts with her fingers but not her thumbs, due to an unfortunate shop class incident.
Art Director / Studio Manager
Marko’s clear understanding of design principles and ability to manage the design process from concept through to final file preparation allows circus to deliver the very highest quality of creative design services. His deep-seated passion for all things design and ongoing status as a Registered Graphic Designer ensure that he’s always at the forefront of new trends and best practices that keep our studio at the leading edge.
Fun fact: Marko and his wife are proud parents of twin girls.
Senior Account Executive
Backed by a BA in Marketing, Doina’s professional experience includes working on key accounts for advertising and digital media agencies in the USA and Canada – in fact, she’s a dual citizen! We can always count on her to bring a strong technical knowledge of market research and media trends, and a keen strategic approach to each account.
Fun fact: Growing up, no one knew her as ‘Doina’. Diana was her preferred name from grade school to college (and she still uses it for coffee orders!)
Karen definitely knows how to keep the troupe under control at circus headquarters. From invoices and tax returns, to client dockets and office expenses, she likes to say she’s got one of the most grueling, yet satisfying jobs in the office.
Fun fact: When the music starts, Karen starts dancing – at home, in the grocery store, basically anywhere.
Denita’s attention to detail and accuracy ensures that budgets are not exceeded, timelines are met and creative stays on strategy. With 25 years of experience in marketing that includes client-side commercial and retail, Denita has a clear understanding of varying project processes and client perspectives.
Fun fact: Denita does it all! She’s a certified home stager and owned a craft business for 10 years before joining the circus troupe.
With over 10 years experience in the marketing industry, Nicole offers consummate account management and project coordination that guarantees results. With a background in marketing analytics, she is able to provide strategic recommendations to meet client objectives, and as a retail marketing expert, she understands the unique quirks of the retail world.
Fun fact: Nicole completed her Business Marketing degree at Griffith University in Gold Coast Australia.
Digital Media Strategist
As an innovator and inventor, Eric is constantly coming up with new ideas and approaches to solve our clients’ digital problems – like the award-winning FashioniCITY Rewards Club and BCC App. A comprehensively trained programmer, Eric’s expert abilities are backed by 12+ years of programming and information design experience, making him the most experienced programmer in the troupe!
Fun fact: Eric invented an award-winning board game called ‘Clockblockers’.
Online Communication Manager
Alicia lives online – in fact it’s sometimes hard to believe she’s a real person! Her depth and breadth of social media and digital content knowledge allows our clients to present themselves as experts to the audiences that matter the most. And when things are complete, she has the amazing ability to gather the crucial information needed to provide our clients with insightful reports to assess success and make good future marketing choices.
Fun fact: Alicia has played fast pitch softball for 20 years… and counting.
Bill is a designer with an eye for clear communication in the work he produces. With an understanding of design requirements for both print and digital platforms, he’s able to create and produce designs that engage and communicate the key message. Bill’s experience across a spectrum of industries also offers flexibility and insight that enriches each project he touches.
Fun fact: Bill is the sixth generation of Livingstones to live in Georgetown. His family even used to own the bakery circus employees absolutely love.
Having worked in the digital fashion realm both as a graphic designer and online manager of social and digital content, Hayley’s a designer with flair. She’s able to capture a brand’s personality and essence, and communicate its key attributes in unique and engaging ways. So if you catch her deep in thought, she’s likely envisioning her next out-of-the-box solution.
Fun fact: Hayley can touch her nose with her tongue (although no one in the office has ever seen her do it!)
While Chris programs sites that are both remarkably beautiful and functional, his true strength is finding cutting-edge solutions to enhance user experience. His 10+ years of web design and development experience help Chris make websites come alive with subtle interface tweaks, tasteful animations and on-screen transitions.
Fun fact: Chris once walked by the Queen in Toronto.
A problem solver and data integration expert, Jeremy works to find the best and most efficient ways to make websites and data work. As our Amazon server expert, he is also responsible for ensuring our server security, updating and ongoing evolution in order to provide the very best hosting and site maintenance services to our clients…. and he builds some pretty amazing apps too!
Fun fact: Jeremy is a huge Stephen King fan and owns at least two first edition copies of his books.
To say Amy is passionate about the shopping centre industry is an understatement. She has previously worked within various shopping centre management teams and retail marketing agencies, specializing in event and social media management for a number of clients. Did we mention she just moved here from England? She sure brings a unique UK marketing perspective to the office!
Fun fact: Amy is an active runner and set herself a challenge for 2016 – to run 12 races within 12 months, including her first full marathon in May.
