The pandemic put in-mall events on hold but that didn’t mean shoppers in Winnipeg weren’t ready to party. After being closed during 2020 due to Covid restrictions, the shopping centre was opening just in time for its 40th Anniversary and shoppers couldn’t resist a little more “happy” in their lives!

what we did

Playing on the award winning “Shop Happy” campaign created by circus, we went digital- 1980’s style, with 40 days of giveaways, contests and retro prizing.

Creative was designed using 80’s inspired colours and a “Brady Bunch” style grid of real KP shoppers. The grid showcased the perfect play-on recent “zoom” parties, bringing everyone together to celebrate the 40th Anniversary.

This overarching program generated #Throwback Thursday content, provided colourful in mall hoarding, and created more memories for the always nostalgic and engaged KP shoppers.
