A Doggone Good Event.
Each year Queen’s Quay Terminal turns to circus to manage this annual community and dog photo event that raises money and awareness for the Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides.
Key to the event’s ongoing brand recognition is the unique and engaging logo and name, created and designed by circus, to ensure not only clear event identification but also a sense of fun!
Dogs were invited into the event tent to pose for the camera – with and without their owners – after registering at a touchscreen kiosk and selecting their choice of Haute Dog “photo frame” which would appear around the digitally provided photos.
After the shoot, owners were emailed the best photos of their pets to save, share and post – as well as having the photos uploaded to an online photo gallery. Each registrant was also entered to win one of four exciting prizes.
After posing for photos, owners could visit with on-site dog experts including a veterinarian offering free advice and Cosmopawlitan Pet Boutique & Spa. Face painting, caricatures and balloon art were all free activities as well as a dog show provided by PawsWay. Sobey’s, one of Haute Dog’s key supporters each year, provided a hot dog (of course) or hamburger lunch with a drink for a minimum donation of $2.00 with 100% of donations going to the Lions Foundation of Canada. The opportunity to Spin & Win for tail-wagging prizes rounded out the event and made it fun for the whole family!

Each year, over the course of the weekend, more than 100 dogs and their families enjoy the Haute Dog event and take away great photo memories of their furry family members.
For guide dogs like Nettle and her family, it’s also a way to raise awareness about the important work they do.
